Christina is an Urban Forestry Programs Manager and Environmental Educator for Trees New York with a passion for community engagement, youth education, and workforce exposure. Through Trees New York’s work, Christina has been able to educate youth and adult audiences alike by instructing Citizen Pruner Courses, implementing customized curriculum to supplement the Youth Environmental Literacy Program (YELP), and mentoring the next generation of urban forestry professionals through the Urban Forest Fellowship and Young Urban Forester (YUF) Internship programs. She previously served as a Natural Resource Educator for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County. When Christina is not “speaking for the trees”, she can be found working on her creative writing endeavors or whittling down her endless piles of books – scientific and creative alike.
Christina holds a BS in Environmental Science/Studies and is an ISA Certified Arborist.
