City of Forest Day is New York City’s largest celebration of trees! The event brings thousands of New Yorkers together to spend the day under the city’s tree canopy
Trees New York, in conjunction with its coalition partners at Forest for All NYC, are once again hosting the 5th annual City of Forest Day. Since 2022, City of Forest Day has brought New Yorkers city-wide several different ways to connect with our unique urban forest through a series of activities designed to appeal to all ages.
This year’s event will take place all day on Saturday October 3rd. Events will be happening across all five boroughs and will include guided and self-guided tours, tree walks, birding, hiking, tree stewardship and planting, park restoration and cleanup, and family-friendly arts and crafts for children.
