Ecological Assessment updates from our Forested Natural Areas - For the first time in 10 years, the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) has updated Ecological Assessment data from NYC's forested natural areas. NAC will share some of our initial findings on the health of our forested natural areas, and ways New Yorkers can get more involved in helping to steward and care for our natural areas citywide. Presenter: Emily Walker, Senior Manager of External Affairs at the Natural Areas Conservancy

Update on the Citywide Urban Forest Plan - Led by the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice in collaboration with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and partners, the citywide Urban Forest Plan, as required by Local Law 148 (2023), will outline strategies to equitably expand the city’s tree canopy to 30%, a goal outlined in “PlaNYC” Presenter: Emily Maxwell, Senior Advisor at City Parks Foundation
