Bio: Doug Still is a consulting arborist specializing in tree dispute mediation, and is the host and producer of the This Old Tree radio show and podcast. He was City Forester in Providence from 2005 to 2022, and has 27 years of experience in urban forestry. He serves on the board of the Rhode Island Tree Council and the New England Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, and is a Past President of the Society of Municipal Arborists. He leads a series of “Rhode Island Forest Walks” and also “Outermost Forest Walks” within the Cape Cod National Seashore. Doug has a B.A. in Art History from Oberlin College, an M.S. in Forest Resources from Penn State University, and received a certificate in mediation training from the Center for Mediation and Collaboration RI.
